1. Who does the tattooing? I'll need to find a studio that follows New York's regulation and licensing standards.
2. Does the artist wear gloves? They should wash their hands and sport a fresh pair of rubbers to do the job.
3. Do they have the right equipment? The tattooer should use an unused needle and tubes from a sealed package. Pigments, trays or containers should be untouched as well.
4. Does the artist sterilize non disposables? They need to use a heat sterilization machine (autoclave) to clean all non disposable equipment between customers.
